Our Vision
To provide a meaningful and faith-filled mission experience for high school students in an underprivileged area of Honduras.
To create meaningful relationships among the US and Honduran youth.
To reflect the love of Christ at all times.
Mission Structure
Youth Pods
- 1 adult pod leader
- 1 translator
- 4-6 US/Honduras youth
Each day the pod rotates to a new ministry site.
Daily Routine
- Morning devotion
- Breakfast
- Morning mission work
- Dinner
- Evening Devotionals
- Free Time
Travel
(Approx times)
- 6:00 – 2:00 flights to San Pedro Sula / collect luggage
- 2:00 – 9:00 drive in van to Tocoa
- Stay at Hotel San Patricio
Finances
- Typical cost per traveler is $1500
- There are additional costs for the mission depending upon the type of ministries anticipated.
- Sponsors/donations for travelers or general donations to the mission are greatly needed and appreciated.
Travel Requirements
- Completion of Missioner Packet & Commitment forms
- Agreement to follow all mission guidelines Participation in all pre-mission meetings and activities
- Active participation in local church and youth group
- Completion of medical physical and up-to-date routine vaccines
- Passport with expiration exceeding 6 months after trip
- Parental consent forms
How To Pack
- The lighter, the better! (no frills necessary!)
- Work gloves, light and modest clothing
- Hats, sunglasses, bug spray & sunscreen are highly recommended
- Tennis shoes are adequate All bedding and bath towels are provided
- Small amounts of food are permitted (protein bars, trail mix, any special needs)
